Parsons Expected To Sign 911 Funding Bill

Funding for the County 911 services could see a boost if Governor Parsons approves legislation to allow Counties to collect a fee or tax on cell phones.  Chillicothe City Administrator Darin Chappell says the city currently subsidizes the 911 operation because the traditional revenues for 911 are dwindling.

Chappell says the legislation before the governor allows counties to seek a fee on the cell phones.

Livingston County has been urging our legislators to find some way to increase the 911 funding and they are eager to see this signed by the governor.
