Chillicothe Police Arrest Two For Child Endangering

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to 102 calls for service Wednesday, including for a building collapse.

Wednesday at about 4:30, officers responded to the building collapse at Calhoun and Locust.

6:30 pm, Officer responded to the 1700 block of Calhoun Street at the request of another law enforcement agency.  That was to take a statement of a resident.

8:00 pm, officers investigated a report of a suspicious person in the 400 block of Polk Street. That person was working in the area.

10:00 pm, Officers responded to the area of Violet and Herriford on a report of possible child abuse.  They arrested a man and woman for endangering the welfare of a child and transported to Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail. Information is being provided to the Livingston County Prosecutor for consideration of filing charges.
