Be Kind To Animals When Using Fireworks
Loud noises and flashes of light… Most animals do not react well to fireworks. Leslie Patek from the Livingston County Humane Society says many dogs are VERY afraid of them.
Patek says fireworks are not the only danger when you have the company over for the July 4th celebrations. She says remember to keep the people food for your friends and family.
If your pet gets outside or out of the yard and runs away, remember to call the Humane Society Animal Shelter at 646-1006. They can keep an eye out and if your animal gets turned over to them, they can get it back to you.
