Fireworks And Chillicothe’s Rules On Their Use
The use of personal fireworks probably peaks the night of July 3rd and of course on the 4th and with that in mind, the Chillicothe Police Department wants you to use those fireworks properly, safely and of course within the bounds of the Chillicothe City ordinances. Sargent John Valbracht says for Tuesday night, you can shoot fireworks until 10:00 pm and on the fourth, the hours are from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. Valbracht explains what constitutes fireworks and what is NOT allowed in the city limits.
Valbracht has some good recommendations about the use of fireworks.
Never shoot fireworks toward another person or at animals, have a bucket of water or a hose handy, just incase you start a fire or if you have duds. If you have a dud, leave it be for several minutes and then soak them with water. And please clean up your mess… leaving all that debris from your fireworks is littering.
