LICOVA – A New Veterans Organization in Livingston County

A Group of Livingston County Veterans announced the creation of a new veteran’s support organization and a new building to serve all veterans.  President, Ed Allender says “Livingston County Veteran’s Association” or LICOVA, is a 501c3, is meant to serve all veterans of Livingston County to support the Veterans service organizations and what they do in the community.  Secretary George Laprade says one of the goals of the organization is to construct a new building to house the veteran’s service groups.

This new building is estimated to cost $1.1 million dollars and they are well on the way to raising the needed funds through donations and pledges.  Treasurer Larry Warren says the 501c3 status allows the LICOVA to solicit tax deductible donations to support the construction and other activities in the community.

Warren says donations may be sent to: LICOVA, PO Box 1141 in Chillicothe.

Warren says the goal of the organization is to serve all honorably discharged veterans, including those that do not qualify for the VFW of American Legion.
