Several Injury Accidents In The Local Counties
State Troopers investigated several injury accidents Friday in the area counties.
At about 5:30 am in Caldwell County, a two vehicle accident on US 36 near Cameron left a Hamilton man with minor injuries. The accident happened when both vehicles were westbound and 32 year old James Lourance of Troy, MO ran into the back of a vehicle driven by 45 year old John Finton of Hamilton, causing the Finton vehicle to go off the road and into a field. Finton was taken to Cameron Regional Hospital for treatment. Lourance was not injured.
Friday at about 12:20 pm in Daviess County, 16 year old Cody Arnold of Gallatin was injured when he was northbound on Highway 13 at Highway 6 and entered the intersection to make a u-turn and pulled into the path of a semi driven by 67 year old Darrell Sheppard of Cameron. Arnold was taken to Cameron Regional Hospital with moderate injuries. The truck driver was not injured.
At about 12:45 pm in Caldwell County, two teens had minor injuries when the care they were in ran into a farm tractor that was driving on the shoulder of US 36, near Hamilton. The report states 18 year old Phillip Davis was eastbound when he hit the tractor and his car went into the median and across the westbound lane and into the ditch. He was not injured, but his passengers, 17 year old Peyton Henderson and 14 year old Dominick Hurst had minor injuries and were treated at Cameron Regional Medical Center.
