Highway Patrol Accident and Arrests
A Mendon woman had minor injuries in a single vehicle accident Sunday at about 2:30 am on Missouri Highway 5. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports 49 year old Lori Mauzey of Mendon was southbound when she ran off the road and struck a tree. She was not wearing a safety belt and was taken to Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield for treatment. She was not wearing her safety belt. Mauzey was also arrested for alleged DWI and no seatbelt. She was released for treatment at the hospital.
State Troopers report four other arrests in the area counties for the weekend.
In Sullivan County at about 3:45 pm Sunday, Troopers arrested 49 year old Orville Hostetler and 25 year old Darrell Palmer, both of Newtown, for alleged Second Degree Assault. They were both taken to the Sullivan County Jail.
At about 5:00 pm Sunday in Livingston County, Troopers arrested 46 year old Eva Lindley of Cameron for alleged DWI. She was processed and released.
Saturday at about 11:00 am in Caldwell County, Troopers arrested 54 year old Richard Hartwig of Hamilton, IL for alleged speeding and on a Clark County, IL Warrant for alleged speeding. Hartwig was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center pending the posting of bond.
