Livingston County Sheriff’s Report
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department report includes several investigations and arrests.
July 22nd: A traffic stop on Liv 256 resulted in an arrest. The deputy approached the vehicle and noticed the odor of alleged marijuana coming from the vehicle. He also located less than 10 grams of alleged marijuana in the vehicle. That led to the arrest of 20-year-old Brendon Michael Brake of Springfield for the alleged possession of marijuana. He was processed and released.
July 23rd: Deputies were called for a burglary in rural Livingston County. Sheriff Steve Cox says the situation became a concern for the person calling, as no burglary had taken place and the caller was possibly in need of mental/medical attention.
July 25th: Sheriff Cox made a vehicle stop on US 36 for alleged speeding. He called for Deputy Mueller and K-9 Zaki. Zaki gave positive indications of the odor of drugs. The search revealed a small quantity of drug paraphernalia and residue.
Other arrests in the report include:
On the 25th, 19 year old Gage Anthony Lee of Cameron on a Livingston County warrant for alleged Failing to Appear in Court on a Speeding ticket. Lee posted $200 cash bond and was released.
Also on the 25th, 46 year old Marshall Cordray of Wheeling was arrested on a Livingston County warrant for alleged Harassment. He was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail in lieu of bond.
