Chillicothe City Council Has BIG Agenda Monday
The Chillicothe City Council meets Monday for a finance workshop and a regular council meeting.
The finance workshop begins at 5:30 and includes discussions on street projects and equipment, radio bids for police and fire, a new phone system and finance options for upcoming purchases.
At 6:30 pm is the regular session. That agenda includes:
In the finance portion of the meeting there will be bids for street improvements, bids for the purchase of street equipment, an ordinance for street chip and seal work., and an ordinance for the purchase of police and fire radios.
The Mayor will lead a discussion on the purchase of signs dedicating Chillicothe as a Purple Heart City.
Fire Chief Darrell Wright will propose becoming a member of the H-GACBuy (Houston Galveston Area Council procurement service).
The City Attorney will present an ordinance for the agreement with Lochner for the final design and bidding services for the airport runway project
The City Administrator will lead a discussion on the intent to seek a CDBG Grant for demolition and the requirements for the grant.
He will also present an ordinance to update the contract with Main Street to include maintenance of downtown landscaping.
The final ordinance on the agenda is to amend the duties of the City Administrator to include the authority to hire and terminate city employees with the exception of department heads.
An executive session is planned following the meeting.
