Fuel Spill In Chillicothe
Chillicothe Fire Fighters responded to a report of a fuel spill early Monday morning. Firefighters received the call to 190 Washington Street at about 12:15 am and were on the scene in less than two minutes. They arrived to find about 20 gallons of diesel fuel had spilled on the lot and at the edge of 2nd Street. The fire crew used about four bags of absorbent to soak up the fuel.
The spill happened when the fuel supply truck was filling the diesel tank and the valve on the hose stuck open. There was no reported damage and the fire crew was on the scene for about 20 minutes.
