Chillicothe Street Projects To Begin Soon
The Chillicothe City Council approved the contracts for two types of street projects that will begin soon. City Administrator Darin Chappell says there is project that includes curb, gutter and overlay that will start this fall and be completed in the spring on Broken Arrow, Hickory and Paul Street. The contract was awarded to M&M Utilities of Chillicothe for $880,200. City Administrator Darin Chappell says these projects are starting later than he would like.
Chappell says they will do their best to have the roads open and passable through the winter, but the overlay will take place in the spring.
The City also approved the Chip Seal for portions of Fairchild, Spring Hill, Peacher and Oak Streets. Chappell says Chip Seal is a cost-effective alternative they are trying.
This work is expected to be complete before October 19th. The bid was awarded to Vance Brothers at a total of $50,000.
