Livingston Co. Sheriff’s Investigations and Arrests

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department had several investigations and arrests in the early part of August.

Investigations:
August 2nd, deputies completed an investigation of property damage to field, crops, and potentially other property.  The investigation began in June.  A person of interest has since been identified and the report was being submitted to the Prosecuting Attorney for consideration.

August 6th, Deputies began an investigation of credit cards used in another state.  The victim learned of the incident from their bank.  Deputies are working with officials in the state of California.

August 7th, Deputies received a call about call of several cattle out in the northwest part of the county. The deputy and dispatch had difficulty in locating the owner. The problem was resolved.

August 8th, Deputies responded to a report of someone attempting suicide in the southern part of the county.  The deputies found the home and garage all locked and could not reach anyone. Due to seriousness of serious injury/death, they forced entry to the home, but could not find the person.  They later learned the person was at another home in Chillicothe and help was being sought for the person.

 

Arrests:
July 30th, a traffic violation led to the arrest of 18 year old Selena Ann Marie Mathews of Chillicothe for alleged Driving While Intoxicated. She was cited and released.

July 30th, Deputies arrested 31 year old Adam Daniel Caudill of Wheeling on a warrant for alleged Failing to Obey a Judge’s Order on Bond Conditions on an original charge of alleged Stealing.  He was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

August 4th, Deputies arrested 41 year old Tracy Nicole Mosley of Utica on a warrant for alleged failure to appear in court on 2 traffic infractions, driving a vehicle without insurance and a Pettis County arrest warrant for alleged stealing. She was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail pending the posting of bond.

August 10th, 38 year old Anthony Cates of Illinois was arrested for alleged 96 in a 65. Cates posted bond and was released.
