Highway Patrol Accidents and Arrests

The Missouri Highway Patrol Reports several accidents and arrests.

A Cameron woman had serious injuries in a single vehicle accident Friday morning, on Interstate 35, just south of Cameron.  Thirty-two year old Joann Willits of Cameron was taken to Liberty Hospital for treatment.  Willits was southbound on I-35 at about 8:00 am, when her vehicle lost power and stopped functioning.  The vehicle drifted off the road and struck a guardrail.  She was wearing a safety belt.

An Arizona truck driver had minor injuries when he ran off the road and his truck overturned early Friday morning in Caldwell County.  State Troopers report 41 year old Milos Nemec of Glendale, AZ was taken to Cameron Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries following the accident at about 3:30 am.  The report states Nemec was eastbound on US 36, 3 miles east of Cameron, when her ran off the road and hit a guardrail, he ran off the road a second time, hitting a bridge rail before returning to the roadway.  He again hit the bridge rail, then went down an embankment and the truck overturned, coming to rest on the drivers side.  He was wearing a safety belt.

 

A Chillicothe woman was arrested in Macon County Friday evening.  Fifty-two year old Kimberly Bowe was arrested by State Troopers at about 6:55 pm for alleged possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.  She was processed and released.
