Five Teens Injured In Single Car Accident

Five area teens were injured in a single vehicle accident Sunday at about 2:10 pm.  The accident happened about a mile west of Chillicothe on LIV 236 (Third Street), when 16 year old Mercedeze S Norris of Hale was westbound at what the Highway Patrol reported was a high rate of speed and crested the first levee and went airborne, striking the ground with the front of the car.  The car continued west, over the second levy and skidded off the southside of the road.  Norris and her passengers, 12 year old Robert Davis and 17 year old Madison Juarez of Chillicothe, and 13 year old Albert Jenkins and 13 year old Gabriel Singleton of Brookfield were all taken to Hedrick Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.  They were all wearing safety belts.
