The field at Shaffer Park is now Chuck Haney Field. The Chillicothe City Council approved the naming of the field on Monday to honor Chillicothe’s former Mayor. City Administrator Darin Chappell explained this is only the field name, not the name of the park.
Chappell says there will be an unveiling ceremony.
The name “Chuck Haney Field” will be on a sun screen that will be seen as fans enter the stadium. The sun screen has yet to be installed.
