Representative Black Had Busy Week At The State Capitol

Chillicothe’s Representative at the State Capitol, Rusty Black, was in Jefferson City This week.  Black says Tuesday the Plant Sciences Committee for the Ag met to discuss fees.

Black says they also met in Veto and Special Session.  He says the House voted to overturn five of the governor’s vetoes.

Black says he has heard the Senate will not take those items up, so the vetoes will likely stand.

He says they also held the special session to discuss STEM education and Computer Science Curriculum and Drug Courts..

Black says if the Senate makes even minor amendments to the language in those special session items, he will be back in Jefferson City next week.
