A Teacher at Chillicothe’s Dewey Elementary School has been named as one of the ten winning teachers in the 2018 “Dream Big, Do Good” contest, sponsored by a southwest Missouri amusement tourist attraction.
Sophie Chambers won $1,000 for classroom and learning enhancements. Chambers was one of ten Teachers from Missouri and Arkansas that received the honor, and the only one in the entire KCHI listening area.
Chambers says she was nominated by one of her fellow teachers.
She will also purchase a few smaller items.
STEAM was co-founded by Andrea Beck and receives help from Amy Peoples.
