Preventing Falls For People Over 65

According to the Centers for Disease Control and prevention, Falls are the leading cause of injury and death for people age of 65 and over. Sarah Wood, Extension Nutrition and Health Specialist says there are things you can do to  help prevent falls.
Those things include exercising including increasing leg strength and improving balance. Talk with your doctor about an exercise plan.  She also says to stand up slowly after eating, resting or lying down.

Also make sure to consult with your doctor about concerns and problems with your balance.
