An Arrest & A Possible Sex Offense In The Chillicothe Police Report

One arrest and a report of a possible sex offense are in the Chillicothe Police Department report for Wednesday.

Just after 3:00 am, Officers were called to a disturbance in the 500 block of Clay Street.  They arrested Jeremiah Horton for alleged Peace Disturbance, Assault and Resisting Arrest. He was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail pending formal charges.

7:25 am, Officer took report of a stolen vehicle from 1500 block of Vine Street. A 2003, White GMC Yukon was stolen from the owner’s driveway. The investigation is continuing.

10:10 am, a Livingston County Deputy requested an Officer just north and east of the Chillicothe Correctional Center to where an AT&T van was found parked near the end of a driveway. The investigation showed the van had been taken from the 1300 block of Walnut St. during the night and the legal operator of the vehicle had been looking for its whereabouts since about 8:00 am, thinking maybe a co-worker had it. The investigation continuing.

Just before noon, officers responded to report of a cat trapped inside a storage unit in the 1000 block of Frederick St.  The cat was released.

About 2:45 pm, officers took a report of possible sex offense involving middle school student, that investigation continues.

8:40 pm, Officers checked a report of suspicious activity at the Shelter House at the Clay St. Park Horseshoe Pits.  A couple was found sitting at picnic table.
