The building that will house the Cat Sanctuary at the Livingston County Humane Society is delivered and sitting on its footings, but Humane Society Director Leslie Patek says they have some work to do before it opens.
The goal of the sanctuary is to separate the cats from the other animals and showcase them in the separate building. There are plans for cameras in the building, and possibly of live streaming on the internet.
Patek says they are considering how the features inside the building will be arranged. They may consider additional windows, but those are decisions that will be made over the next few weeks. She says the goal is to have the new Cat Sanctuary open by the end of the year.
