The Chillicothe Girls cross country team finished 5th and the Boys team was 10th at the Kearney Invitational on Monday. Chillicothe Coach Tim Riekena said this was a smaller meet since it was a make up meet from Saturday, due to weather.
For this meet, coaches were allowed to run up to ten on varsity instead of the normal seven. Riekena stated he ran all the boys in the varsity race.
For the Girls team, Kadence Shipers was 20th, Emma Burk 35th, Callaway Chapman 41st, Kathryn George 44th, Emery Evans 45th with all of them earning a medal, Mayanna Weed was 54th and Emma Bernskoetter 56th.
On the boys side, Hayden Simmer was 24th, Peyton Forck 43rd, Logan Asher 53rd, Eric Kleinschmidt 67th, Brady Bernskoetter 73rd with all of them earning a medal. Stephen Parkes was 82nd Tristian Forck 83rd, Conner Douglas 94th and Nathan Toole 96th.
In the girls Junior Varsity race, Grace Bligh was 33rd and Kiera Bosley 34th with both earning a medal.
