Thanksgiving – A National Holiday

The national observance of Thanksgiving is on the fourth Thursday in the month of November.  This is the date set in 1941, by President Theodor Roosevelt, but he was not the president who made Thanksgiving a National Holiday.  Livingston County Library Director Candy Warren that was Abraham Lincoln, with the relentless urging of an author of a poem you surely know.

The Livingston County Library is closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday, but re-opens Friday for normal hours.
