The Thanksgiving Meal – Serving and Leftovers
The Thanksgiving meal is one of the biggest and most impressive you will fix each year, but before you start, this is a good time to think about serving your guests and the leftovers you will be storing.
Janet Heckert, Regional Nutritional Specialist with the University of Missouri Extension Program says we have a window of time before the leftovers should be stored in the refrigerator.
Hackert says those same guide lines can be used for any foods that need to be heated for serving.
Once your meal is over, don’t wait too long for the clean-up. The clock is still ticking and you want to put any leftovers from the table away as soon as possible.
