Slick Road Conditions Possible

The Blizzard that moved through northwest Missouri Sunday dumped four to 10 inches of snow across the area, and wind gust up to 50 miles an hour created snow drifts and treacherous driving conditions.  That system moved on to the east overnight and cooler air and sunshine will be here for a couple of days.

The Missouri Department of Transportation and City of Chillicothe have been out overnight to clear the streets in the area.

The City of Chillicothe is under a Snow Emergency – that means no parking on the marked Emergency Snow Routes, until the emergency is lifted.

Most Chillicothe City Streets are open and the plow crews will be working throughout the day to clear the streets.  If you can park off the street, it will help them to clear the streets all the way to the curb.

Many of the streets have a coating of ice on them and that will mean you need more distance to stop, slow down and plan accordingly.
