William Chrisman used a quick and physical defense to shut down the Chillicothe offense in a 43-34 Chrisman win in the Savannah Basketball Tournament Championship Game.
Chillicothe’s outside shooting was hot early in the game with most of the scoring coming from treys. However the inside game was never on track, with just one two-point field goal through the first three quarters.
Chillicothe was led by Jordan Hibner with 12 points, including 4 of 5 from three-point range. Kennedie Kieffer finished with eight points, most of them in the final quarter. Magy Thomas, Hunter Keithley and Laney Gaston all had three points each, Maggie Pfaff and Lucy Reeter each had two points and Essie Hicks had a free throw.
Chillicothe girls are back in action on Friday at home against Trenton as part of the Teddy Bear Toss double header.
