CHS Girls win with second half juggernaut

The Chillicothe Lady Hornets Basketball team shook off a sluggish first half to beat Hickman in Columbia 55-51.
Chillicothe trailed 20-10 at halftime but put together a 45 point second half including scoring 28 in the final quarter for the win.
Hunter Keithley had three treys and 7 of 8 free throws in the fourth quarter. The team went 12 of 14 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter. After Chillicothe built a 9 point lead in the fourth, Hickman started fouling to try and come from behind.
Coach Darren Smith said that his team went on the attack in the second half.

Keithley finished with 18 points, Jordan Hibner had 12 and Kennedie Kieffer had 10. The three combined for a total of three points in the entire first half.
Other contributors were Maggi Pfaff with 9, Catey Trout, Laney Gaston and Essie Hicks with 2 each and playing time for Magy Thomas.
There has been changes to the Lady Hornets schedule. Their opponent for a game the 27th at NCMC has backed out, so the Lady Hornets play Smithville at 3:00pm on December 28th at NCMC. A JV/V home game against East Buchanan has been added for January 17th.
