Chillicothe Pet License Renewals Due January 1st

Do you have a pet and live within the Chillicothe City Limits?  If so, it’s time to renew your pet licenses.  In Chillicothe the pet licenses are renewed at the first of the year and notification was sent out to city residents in their CMU billing for December. City Clerk Roze Frampton says when you go to city hall to pay for the license, you will need to bring proof of the required vaccinations and complete the forms with the description of your dog or cat.

License fees are the same for both cats and dogs, $7.50 for animals that are spayed or neutered and $15.00 for those that have not been spayed or neutered.  City hall will be open normal hours Monday, New Year’s Eve, but will be closed New year’s Day.  If you miss the deadline, there is no penalty, as long as you get the pet licensed as soon as possible.

If you have a new pet, now is also a good time to have your pet licensed.  Chillicothe Ordinance requires all cats and dogs in the city to be licensed and vaccinated.  If you have questions, call the City Clerk’s office at 646-1877.

License fees collected help to support the Livingston County Humane Society’s Animal Shelter.
