One Accident and Four Arrests Are In The Highway Patrol Report

State Troopers Investigated on accident and report four arrests in the local area.

An Iowa truck driver was injured in a single vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Daviess County.  At about 4:00 pm, State Troopers report 56 year old Lynn Johnson of Grand River, Iowa was southbound on Interstate 35 when he ran off the west side of the road.  He overcorrected and ran across the northbound lanes and into the median and his truck overturned, blocking the southbound lanes.  Johnson was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center where he was treated for moderate injuries.

 

State Troopers report four arrests in the local area early this morning.

At 12:42 am in Ray County, troopers arrested 63 year old Harold Burnett of Pollo, 58 year old Brenda Burnett of Chillicothe and 26 year old Canaan Bigelow of Chillicothe.  They were all arrested for alleged possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.  Harold Burnett was also arrested for alleged no seatbelt.  All three were taken to the Ray County Jail on 24 hour holds.

A Cowgill resident, 22 year old Karen Wilson, was arrested at 1:10 am in Grundy County for alleged DWI with drugs – with a person under the age of 17 in the vehicle, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in an accident, no proof of insurance and on a Livingston County warrant for alleged traffic offense.  She was taken to the Grundy County Jail.  No injuries were reported in the accident.
