Chillicothe Man Charged In September Burglary In Bogard

A Chillicothe man made a court appearance in Carroll County on charges of alleged burglary and stealing for an incident last September in Bogard.  Twenty-six year old Canaan Bigelow was arrested December 31st.

The report states Carroll County Deputies made a traffic stop on a vehicle and spoke to Bigelow before the theft report was made.  The deputy noticed a bag in Bigelow’s possession, but he claimed it belonged to someone who had been in the vehicle earlier in the day.  He also told the deputy he could take the bag.

Items reported stolen, valued at about $4,000 include an arrowhead collection, a firearm and jewelry.

Bigelow made a court appearance for an arraignment and entered a not guilty plea.  Bigelow had been held on $20,000, cash only bond, but the judge increased the bond to $40,000 cash or surety.
