County Commission Working On 2019 Budget

The Livingston County Budget needs to be prepared and presented for approval by January 18th.  Presiding Commissioner Ed Douglas says they are expecting the budget process to go pretty well.

The commissioners have been talking with some of the other elected officials about their offices and budgets.  They have met with the Prosecuting Attorney – Adam Warren and with the road and bridge crew.

Douglas says the renovations at the courthouse will add to the budget.

Another added expense is the new security at the courthouse.  That began at the first of the year and as the doors are replace, the security will be come tighter, where the public will have access only through the north door.
