Assisting The Public Was A Big Part Of The Chillicothe Police Report

The Chillicothe Police Department responded to numerous parking complaints and assisted motorists with stuck vehicle over the weekend.  In addition, they reported the following:

Saturday
2:25 am, Officers found a woman walking in the storm in the area of Broadway and 11th Street. They found the woman had a warrant from Daviess County and they arrested Cynthia Dyson for alleged failure to appear. She posted bond and was released.

12:35 pm, Officers were dispatched to the area of Polk and Monroe Street to a report of juveniles throwing snowballs at moving vehicles. The Officers were unable to locate the juveniles.

10:20 pm, Officers were dispatched a home in the 100 block of Herriford Street on a report of a stolen cell phone.

11:55 pm, Officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Polk and Fairlane. The vehicle was located and was a resident from the area.

Sunday
7:00 am, Officers were dispatched to a report of an unwanted person at a business in the 1100 block of Walnut Street. The person was advised and left without further incident.

11:55 am, Officers took a report of kids riding 4-wheelers on the playground of the old Central School. Officers found kids playing but there were no signs of atv tracks.

1:46 pm, Officers were dispatched to a report of a sewer manhole cover that was struck by a snow plow in the 500 block of Park Lane.  Officers placed a traffic cone to prevent a motorist from striking the manhole and the Street Department was notified.
