The heavy snow this past weekend is putting a load on roofs and there is more snow expected this weekend. Fire Chief Darrell Wright says the snow this past weekend had a lot of moisture.
Wright says for those with flat roofs, some shoveling may help.
If you have a lot of snow on your roof, be aware of sounds of the roof under stress and take the proper precautions. Wright says they are not expecting problems, but they will be prepared.
The National Weather Service says while temperatures will warm for mid week, it will remain cloudy and that will not promote a lot of snow melt.
