If you have a newer home or have upgraded your gas furnace to a high efficiency model that vents out the side of the house, you may need to check the intake and exhaust pipes. Chillicothe Fire Chief Darrell Wright says don’t let them become covered with snow.
Wright recommends clearing about 18 inches in each direction to allow good ventilation.
