Trenton Council Approves Several Purchases

The Trenton City Council approved the purchase of rock, sand and items for the Electric Department as part of their meeting Monday.

The council approved the purchase of three thousand plus tons of sand and ten thousand plus tons of rock from Norris Quarries.  The company had the low bid.

The council also approved the purchase of two reclosers and a switch for the electric department for use in the area of the Nestle factory to stabilize the electric demand.  The reclosers cost a just over of $17,600 and the Switch cost just over $3,600.

In addition, the council voted to approve moving forward onto exploring the replacement of the headworks at the water department.
