The Chillicothe Lady Hornets hit the outside shots early to beat St Joseph Bishop LeBlond 63-26. It was the opening game of the Cameron Tournament.
Chillicothe hit six treys in the first half to open up a double digit lead in the second quarter. They led by double figures the rest of the game.
Coach Darren Smith said his girls had to do more than just sit back and pop treys all night.
Unofficially, Kennedie Kieffer had 15 points, Jordan Hibner had 14 points including four treys. Hunter Keithley had 11 points, Laney Gaston had 9 points off the bench. Maggie Pfaff contributed four points. Magy Thomas and Lucy Reeter each had three points.
Essie Hicks and Brooke Horton both had two points. Maya Snyder and Catey Trout played but did not score.
Chillicothe girls play Wednesday at 7:00pm in the Cameron Tournament Semis.
