Chillicothe Police Had A Busy Weekend

Chillicothe Police were very busy over the past few days, with nearly 200 calls for service since Friday morning.

Friday:
6:25 pm, Officers were dispatched to a report of a theft and forgery from a business in the 1000 block of North Washington Street. The incident remains under investigation.

11:55 pm, A resident came to the Police Department to report a theft from his residence. The incident was determined to be a civil issue.

Saturday:
3:10 pm, Kristopher Grasshorn surrendered himself at the Police Department on a Livingston County Warrant for alleged failing to register as a sex offender. He was processed and released.

4:10 pm, Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of Polk Street after the resident heard a noise inside the residence and thought there was an intruder. Officers searched the residence and no one was located.

Sunday:
9:50 am, Officers were contacted by Sedalia Police Department in an attempt to locate a local resident to check their well-being. The resident was located, and they were not in need of assistance.

6:00 pm, Officers were dispatched to a business in the 1000 block of Graves Street in reference to shoplifters. Officers arrested Todd and Shannon Buss for alleged stealing. Both were held at the Daviess DeKalb Regional Jail.

11:00 pm, Officers were dispatched to a commercial burglary alarm in the 600 block of Calhoun Street. Officers discovered a door had been forced open and someone had entered the business. They had left before officers arrived.  The investigation continues.
