In 2018, the US Congress passed the new tax code, and this is the first time tax payers will file their taxes under the new code. Michael Devine from the IRS says most people file electronically and the process of filing will be very similar to what they have done in the past.
Devine says the IRS Website has many publications that can help those that chose to not file electronically.
He says there are several ways you can file.
Devine encourages anyone doing their own taxes to use one of the software packages, they will ask you the questions and take the information you provide to fill out the forms and make all of the calculations necessary to accurately complete the process.
