A single vehicle accident in Daviess County late Wednesday morning left the driver with serious injuries and the passenger with moderate injuries.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports at about 11:30 am, 31 year old Kayla Mowre of Gallatin had serious injuries when the vehicle she was driving westbound on Highway 6 near Altamont, began to slide on the ice covered roadway, crossed the center line and ran off the road. The vehicle went down an embankment and overturned, coming to rest against a tree. Mowre and her passenger, 39 year old Christopher Mowre were taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center for treatment. Christopher had Moderate injuries.
