A single vehicle accident in Daviess County Monday evening left the driver and passenger injured. State Troopers report the accident happened at about 7:05 pm on US 69, north of Winston. According to the report, 20 year old Selina Harris of Cameron was southbound and ran off the road and struck the ditch. When the vehicle hit the ditch, the passenger grabbed the door handle causing the door to open and the passenger, 21 year old Karla Simmons of Cameron, was ejected. Harris had minor injuries and Simmons had moderate injuries and were taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center. They were not wearing safety belts.
