Chillicothe Fire Department Assists With Fire Near Avalon

The Chillicothe Fire Department responded to two fire calls over the weekend.

Saturday, they were called for mutual aid for a fire on Route JJ near Avalon.  That call came in about 3:00 am and the fire crew arrived at 3:19.  The department arrived with two trucks and five fire fighters to assist the Hale Fire District.  The home was fully involved and everyone was out of the home.

Chillicothe used about 2500 gallons of water to protect propane tank near the residence.

Hale Fire Fighters remained on the scene.  Chillicothe was back in service at about 4:40 am.

 

Sunday afternoon, Chillicothe fire fighters were called for a fire at LIV 312 and US 65.  The call came in about 3:05 pm and the fire crew was en route when they received a call from a deputy stating the incident was a brush fire  and the fire call was canceled.
