The Chillicothe FFA Chapter is celebrating National FFA Week through a variety of activities. Maggie Pfaff, Sidney Baxter and Katie Lewis are officers in the Chapter and explained how FFA has helped them.
Davin Althoff, the Director of the Missouri Department of Agriculture – Ag Business Development spoke at Friday’s Salute To Agriculture Breakfast and says Missouri, like other states, has a workforce shortage in the ag fields. He says finding youth interested in Agriculture can be a challenge.
He says Ag programs like FFA help the youth to see Agriculture is more than just a crop or livestock.
