A fire that broke out late Monday afternoon in Trenton destroyed buildings and the businesses they housed. Trenton Fire Department, called for assistance from Chillicothe, Jamesport and the Grundy County Rural Fire Departments. Chillicothe responded with their aerial truck to assist with the attack on the fire from above. Early reports indicate as many as three business were destroyed, including the Chamber of Commerce and Driver’s License Office. Fire fighters are expected to be on the scene through the night.
