A fire Friday morning near the Livingston/Carroll County line on US 65, destroyed a home. The Chillicothe Fire Department received the call to assist the Hale Fire district about 9:40 am and arrived about 11 minutes later with a tanker and personnel. When they arrived, the home was fully involved and additional department were arriving, including from Carrollton Fire and North Central Carroll County Fire Protection District. Chillicothe used about 2,000 gallons of water as they assisted with the house fire and the other department assisted in protecting the other buildings on the property.
No one was injured and the residents were not home at the time of the fire. The house was a total loss.
Chillicothe was back in service at about 10:50 am.
