Former Chillicothe Hornet baseball player Derek Hussey is one of four Northwest Missouri State University Bearcat baseball players named to an All Tournament team.
Hussey was named to the MIAA/GLVC Challenge all tournament team after hitting .357 with five hits and three runs scored.
He went 3-for-5 with a run scored against UMSL. He notched two hits including a double in Northwest’s 8-2 win over Rockhurst.
Other Bearcats named to the team were pitchers Quintin Van Ackeren and Joe Funkhouser and first baseman Connor Quick.
Hussey is a 2015 graduate of Chillicothe High School and attended NCMC in Trenton before transferring to Northwest Missouri State University.
