Two Accidents In Area Counties Leave Seven Injured – One with Serious Injuries

An accident on Interstate 35 in Daviess County Tuesday night left a Trenton woman with serious injuries and four others with minor an moderate injuries.  Twenty-six year old Kayla Jones of Trenton had serious injuries in the accident that happened about 8:35 pm on Interstate 35, just south of Winston.  According to the report, a semi driven by 32 year old Preston Turner of Wisconsin was northbound and was stopped because of another accident.  Thirty two year old Marquise Jones of Trenton, slid on the ice covered highway and ran into the rear of the semi.

Others injured in the accident include: Marquise Jones with moderate injuries and three children, an infant, 2 year old and 4 year old, all had minor injuries.

All five were taken to Cameron Regional Medical center for treatment.  They were wearing safety belts.

 

An accident in Grundy County Tuesday evening left two teens with minor injuries.  The accident happened about 7:00 pm on Route F, east of Jamesport, when 16 year old Luca Nichols of Trenton was eastbound and slid off the northside of the icy road and struck a pole and a fence.  Nichols and his passenger, Darren Lowe of Jamesport were both taken to Wright Memorial Hospital in Trenton for treatment of minor injuries.  They were wearing safety belts.
