Livingston County Sheriff’s Department – Drug Investigations

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department has investigated numerous drug incidents this month.  They include:

February 18th, a domestic disturbance call in Utica resulted in discovered alleged methamphetamine and methamphetamine paraphernalia on the property.  Evidence is being submitted to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crime Lab for identification.

February 18th, a deputy checked on a vehicle in the Utica area and found two people had non-extraditable warrant.  K-9 Zaki was called to the scene and gave indication to the odor of drug(s). A search resulted in locating a minor amount of marijuana. The occupants were advised to clean their vehicle and no citations were issued.

February 21st, a drug investigation near US 36 and Liv 255 included K-9 Zaki conducting a free air search around a vehicle. Further investigation led to seizure of a Methamphetamine smoking pipe and a baggie of suspected Methamphetamine.  Twenty-nine year old Ashley Dawn Brown of Ludlow was arrested and released pending lab reports.

February 22nd, deputies checked on a couple of suspicious people sitting in a fugitives vehicle.  K-9 Zaki alerted to the odor of drug(s) and the vehicle was impounded pending execution of a warrant. Sheriff Steve Cox says the resulting search found items commonly used with the distribution of controlled substances was seized from the vehicle.  The investigation continues and a report was sent to the prosecuting attorney.

February 23rd, the department finished a lengthy drug investigation involving a home in Ludlow. The investigation included the Missouri State Highway Patrol officers converging on a vehicle with 3 occupants in the Dawn/Ludlow area.  They seized suspected methamphetamine, heroin, and drug paraphernalia.  A search warrant was issued for the home in the 200 block of Chicago in Ludlow and they found additional evidence. Deputies arrested 38 year old Michael J. Stoddard of Ludlow for alleged 2 counts of possession of controlled substance (Methamphetamine and Heroin.)  He was held at the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail on $15,000 bond. Additional charges may be filed on two others.

Wednesday, 49 year old Brian Neal Moore of Utica was arrested for alleged Possession of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.  The incident is alleged to have taken place in 2018.
