First Impact Offered In Linn County

The Missouri Department of Transportation is sponsoring a program for parents of teens who will soon be behind the wheel.  First Impact is a program to give parents some tools to make that road a bit easier.

April 8th, from 6:00 7:30 pm at the Linn County Health Department, MoDOT will have the free program that will feature Sargent Eric Brown from the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Marsha Jones, from the Missouri Department of Conservation Agent to discuss a number of topics, including the Missouri Graduated Driver’s License.

Other topics will include:

  • Awareness of teen driving risks
  • Understanding of Missouri’s GDL law
  • GDL monitoring and enforcement at home
  • Importance of being a positive role model

First Impact is meant to provide parents with the tools needed to monitor, coach and support their new teen driver. First Impact features a video and discussion to promote the importance of parents and teens working together to reduce teen crashes, injuries and fatalities.
