Chillicothe Police Report For Saturday

The Chillicothe Police Department had 67 calls for service Saturday.  Some of the calls include:

4:15 am, Officers assisted Animal Control in capturing animals that had escaped their confinement at 1400 South Mitchell.

4:15 am, Officers transport two individuals to the Daviess/DeKalb County Regional Jail.

8:40 am, Officer took information in the 1500 block of Locust Street, that a subject had entered the home, damaged some property and the left.  No formal report of the incident was requested at this time.

10:35 am, checked a report of someone walking westbound on Polk Street by Vine Street and they were yelling strange things.  Officers were unable to locate the person.

11:25 am, Officers were in the 1200 block of Webster Street to assist Children’s Services on an investigation of possible child abuse.

1:50 pm, Officers responded to a report of several girls at Clay Street Park and a fight.  The officers located the girls at the Storm Drain tunnel, but their was no fight.  The girls’ parents were contacted and advised

4:05 pm, Officer checked on a vehicle at US 65 and Business 36, which was parked off the roadway with it’s flashers on.  No one was found at the vehicle.

5:00 pm, Report of an individual acting strangely near Madison and Henry Streets.  Officers determined the person was OK.

6:25 pm, a person that came to the Police Department reported they had been assaulted by a person they knew, in the 1300 block of Monroe Street.  Officers were unable to locate the person.

10:10 pm, Officers checked a report of a vehicle operated in a careless manner in the area of Washington and Ryan Lane.  They were unable to locate the vehicle.

10:35 pm, Officer picked up a prisoner from the Grundy County Sheriff’s Department at the Livingston/Grundy County line.  The person had been arrested in Mercer County on a Chillicothe Municipal Warrant.  They were processed and later taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail and were held in lieu of $200 bond.
