Chillicothe Firefighters responded to a home in the 1700 block of Hickory Drive early Monday morning on a report of a strong odor or smoke smell. The call came in at about 1:30 am and they were on the scene in about 6 minutes. They found no fire or smoke, but smelled what they found was the furnace fan overheating. The fan was shut off and the resident advised to have the housing complex maintenance person service the furnace. The fire crew returned to service at about 1:45 am.
