Chillicothe Hosts Job Olympics For Developmentally and Physically Disabled

A Job Olympics for students with developmental and physical disabilities was hosted in Chillicothe Friday by the Chillicothe High School’s Life Skills Program.  Amanda Marsh, an instructor in the program says they had students from Chillicothe, Gallatin, Grand River Technical School, Trenton, Maryville and Carrollton attending the Job Olympics.  Marsh talked about the program and how the Job Olympics helps.

The Job Olympics includes 45 students participating in the events.  Marsh says the Job Olympics includes several planned activities.

The students attending also have an opportunity to socialize with their peers from other schools.

This is the first year Chillicothe has hosted the Job Olympics and they are assisted by the CHS Leadership Team and students in the Grand River Technical School’s Hospitality Program.  The event was held at First Baptist Church.
